We are suits & stories

Suits & Stories brings together storytellers and an audience of business, science, government and philanthropy – groups which would normally not come together – for the benefit of personal and professional growth.

On a quarterly basis we talk about success, fuck-ups, insights and life changers. We unlock business stories that are meant to be shared.

In this we do not aim for profit but strive to share as much knowledge and inspiration as possible.

Sometimes it is necessary to reinvent yourself, the business or a brand. Also for an established A-brand like Campina. A rapidly changing environment and a different view on dairy required a new vision, strategy and market approach. Not an easy task within a cooperative with different stakeholders. Carien de Bas, Marketing Manager Campina, provides insight into this transformation process and how to take stakeholders both internally at FrieslandCampina and externally with the consumer on this journey.

In our working life, there is an unwritten rule that we need to return to work shortly after one of our loved ones has passed away. This often conflicts with the emotions we feel, which has a negative effect on both our healing process and our productivity at work. Expert by experience Marrit van Exel lost her husband (47) and daughter (32) and has a clear view on how companies should cope with mourning employees. She advocates a statutory right to bereavement leave for employees.

In todays rushed society, more and more is expected from us. This is a catalyst for insomnia. What starts with one bad night, eventually turns into more. What are the consequences? How can you recover and return to a healthy sleep routine so you can make more out of life? Sleepexpert, veteran, and a father Mark Schadenberg brings his expertise to our stage.

Our Story

SUITS & STORIES’ MISSION IS TO BRING REAL STORIES TO THE STAGE THAT GIVE THE AUDIENCE INSPIRATION AND KNOWLEDGE TO THINK OVER.

BEHIND THE SUITS
Suits & Stories is an initiative of Puck van Doorn (Presentation expert at BEAM) & Boudewijn Kanen (Lawyer HR Law at Liber Dock)

There are quite some initiatives in the creative and entrepreneurial world to share experiences and knowledge, but those from the business world tend to stay locked-in. We want to open up this library of great stories. As we believe that every person has a story to tell and these stories can help others to grow.

We love great stories and believe that when brought across properly they can inspire and provide new insights. We therefore invite the best professionals in their field of expertise and support and train them to bring their story with the most impact to the stage.

We also believe in the power of sharing knowledge. In case you are interested in a collaboration, drop us a note.

CAN I TAKE THE STAGE IN SUITS & STORIES?
We want to maintain a high quality of our speaker line-up. Therefore, we invite Suits & Stories speakers ourselves. But if you are a great story teller and you have something to share with our audience, drop us a note. Don’t forget to send a link to a reference video and your story.

They weren’t able to move that very far, do homework for me he said.
